Sri Lanka Adventure Experience:
12 Days & 11 Nights

Day 1 - Arrival 

After arriving at Bandaranayke International airport and meeting with the guide, you will be transferred to the Jetwing Blue Hotel in Negambo for a 1 night and 2-day stay. Negambo, a quiet town on the west coast of Sri Lanka, is located 10 km from Bandaranaike International Airport. The town derives its name from the Negambo lagoon and is known for its white sandy beaches and turquoise-blue waters. It is a popular beach resort town and a perfect spot to enjoy and relax during your stay. 

Day 2- Excursion to Kandy 

After breakfast at the Jetwing Blue Hotel, we will depart to Kandy where we will stay for 2 nights and 3 days at Polwaththa Eco Lodge. It is an ideal place for nature lovers whose expectations of "luxury" lie more outside the room than inside. Polwaththa Eco Lodge is a sustainable retreat located in the heart of Sri Lanka's countryside. It offers unique eco-friendly accommodations and outdoor activities in a serene natural environment. Guests can participate in a range of eco-friendly activities, including hikes, organic farming, and community tourism, promoting responsible travel practices. 

Day 3 – Excursion to Tea Factory 

After breakfast at the hotel, you will have the opportunity to experience village walks through quaint villages with their Kandyan Forest Gardens, where the villagers go about their daily chores at their own pace. You will be invited to visit their houses and see how they make treacle and jaggery. Our trained guide will give you a "botany lesson" about the various trees you will see along the way. You will observe the villagers bathing, washing their clothes, and drawing sand from the river. A large and deep pool of water upstream is available for competent swimmers. After the village walk, you will visit a tea factory and plantation to learn about the growing and harvesting of tea, and enjoy a good cup of tea. A complimentary 250g of quality black tea and a picnic lunch are included. The return trip will be by tuk-tuk or private jeep. 

Day 4 - Excursion to Nuwara Eliya 

After having breakfast at the Polwaththa Eco Lodge, we will depart for Nuwara Eliya, a picturesque town located in the Central Province of Sri Lanka, known for its stunning landscapes, cool climate, and tea plantations. Often referred to as the "Little England" of Sri Lanka, Nuwara Eliya was a popular hill station during the colonial era, and many of the buildings and architecture reflect the British influence. While traveling to Nuwara Eliya, we have organized a sightseeing tour to visit the Gregory Lake, Victoria Park, and take a city tour of Nuwara Eliya. After the tour, we will proceed to Oak Ray Summer Hill Breeze Hotel for a 2-night and 3-day stay.

Day 5 - Excursion to Nuwara Eliya 

After having breakfast at the Summer Hill Breeze Hotel, we will participate in a 5-hour trek in Horton Plains National Park, which offers a range of specially designed routes available to guests, varied by altitude, direction, and the clusters of wildlife found in the area. The park is a protected area located in the central highlands of Sri Lanka and is a popular destination for tourists and locals alike, known for its breathtaking views, unique flora and fauna, and diverse landscapes. 

Day 6 - Excursion to Kitulgala 

After having breakfast at the Summer Hill Breeze Hotel, we will depart for Kitulgala, where we will stay for 2 nights and 3 days at the Borderlands Adventure Camp. Kitulgala has countless activities in store for anyone in search of an exciting time. Adventure sports in Kitulgala mainly comprise white water rafting, rainforest trekking, rock sliding, mountain biking, outdoor camping, and waterfall abseiling. The most common activity among these is white water rafting on the Kelani River, which is suitable for both beginner and experienced rafters.

Day 7 - Excursion to Kitulgala 

After breakfast, we will visit the Makandawa rainforest reserve and hike to catch glimpses of birds and mammals that are endemic to the region. After lunch, we will indulge in the highlight of our visit, which is white water rafting on the Kelani River. 

Day 8 - Excursion to Sinharaja Forest 

After having breakfast at the Borderlands Adventure Camp, we will travel to Sinharaja and stay at the Rainforest Mount Lodge for 2 nights and 3 days. The Sinharaja Rainforest is a precious biosphere that is home to a multitude of endemic species of flora and fauna. The natural surroundings are inspiring and offer a therapeutic rainforest bathing experience.

Day 9 – Excursion to Sinharaja Forest

Early in the morning, you will be able to enjoy a 5-hour trekking experience on a misty morning in the Sinharaja rainforest tour. It's a perfect opportunity to encounter many tropical trees, plants, insects, and many other creatures. On the Sinharaja jungle tour, you will see a large number of birds, monkeys, lizards, spiders, butterflies, snakes, and many more. The jungle tour is easy and suitable for anyone with moderate physical fitness. Venturing on a Sinharaja forest tour is the best way to explore an invaluable treasure of Sri Lanka. The Sinharaja rainforest is a strict nature reserve due to its ecological importance and is also protected under the emblem of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 10 – Excursion to Bentota

Following breakfast at the Rainforest Mount Loge, we will depart for Bentota. While en route, we will visit the Ancient City of Galle, where you can explore the 300-year-old Dutch Fort, Lighthouse, Dutch Reformed Church, and other historical buildings. Afterward, we will proceed to The Palms Hotel in Bentota, where we will stay for 2 nights and 3 days. Bentota is the most popular beach town on Sri Lanka's western coast, known for its stretches of golden sands lined by palm trees swaying gently in the breeze, crystal-clear waters, tranquil and family-friendly atmosphere, and a variety of water sports. Bentota Beach has all the makings of a top-notch seaside getaway.

Day 11 - Excursion to Bentota

After breakfast at the hotel, we will visit the Turtle Hatchery Farm and go on a river boat safari in Bentota. During the boat ride, you will be able to see the huge mangrove forest along the river banks and observe many birds and animals that live in this aquatic environment. One such experience is the fish therapy.

Day 12 - Departure

After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, we will proceed to Bandaranayke International airport for our departure. Our trip has come to an end.
