Sri Lanka Adventure Tour:
12 Days & 11 Nights

Day 1 - Arrival

Upon arrival at Bandaranayke International Airport, you will be met by a chauffeur guide who will transfer you to Maravila for a one-night, two-day stay at the Club Palm Bay Hotel. The hotel is situated on Sri Lanka's northwest coast, between Maravila Lagoon and Maravila Beach. It features a 9-hole golf course and an outdoor pool, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy during your stay.

Day 2 – Excursion to Wilpattu

Following breakfast at Club Palm Bay Hotel, we will travel to Wilpattu for a two-night, three-day stay at Big Game Eco Camps. This unique accommodation offers the opportunity to camp in the forest on the borders of Sri Lanka's most iconic wildlife zones, adjacent to the national park. You will enjoy peaceful accommodations in spacious, tented campsites, which are the perfect place to unwind and relax from your hectic schedule.

Day 3 – Excursion to Wilpattu

After breakfast, you will enjoy a half-day safari tour and nature trail assistance with a guide. This fantastic tour will help you explore the inner workings of the wildlife and learn more about the exotic animals that call it home. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to experience a casual village walk or a stroll to the beautiful lake located close to the village. 

Day 4 - Excursion to Giritale

After breakfast at the Big Game Eco Camp in Wilpattu, we will proceed to the Deer Park Hotel in Giritale, where we will stay for two nights and three days. The Deer Park Hotel offers a window into Sri Lanka's magnificent past, with its ancient civilizations and UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Day 5 - Excursion to Giritale

After breakfast, you will enjoy a tour of Sri Lanka's richest archaeological heritage sites, which remind us of the island's true heritage, dating back over 2500 years. These sites are located within the cultural triangle. The ancient city of Polonnaruwa is one of the best-planned archaeological relic sites in the country, standing as a testimony to the discipline and greatness of the Kingdom's first rulers. The city has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. Its massive buildings, parks, shrines, and sacred places make it one of the most beautiful of the ancient kingdoms.

Day 6 - Excursion to Pidurangala/Sigiriya

After breakfast at the Deer Park Hotel, we will arrange a safari tour to visit the national park dominated by the ancient Minneriya Tank. This national park is renowned for its toque macaques, sambar deer, leopards, and elephants, and has been named the "elephant gathering." In fact, Minneriya is one of the world's 10 greatest wildlife spectaculars for elephant gathering. After the tour, we will proceed to the Back of Beyond Jungle Hideaway in Pidurangala, where we will stay for two nights and three days.

Day 7 - Excursion to Pidurangala/Sigiriya

After breakfast at the hotel, you will experience a bicycle trip to a number of exceptional archaeological sites, including Kaludiya Pokuna, the ruins of an ancient Buddhist vihara buried in the jungle. You will also explore highly varied landscapes, starting from the Sigiriya Moat and continuing across villages, farmlands, irrigation canals, forests, irrigation tanks, and lovely forest lakes. In the evening, you can enjoy a scenic boat ride on a lake in Sigiriya, which will allow you to fully appreciate the breathtaking natural beauty of the ancient kingdom's landscape. This excursion is perfect for birders, wildlife and nature lovers who wish to enjoy the tranquil surroundings of giant Jumbuck trees, tropical forests, and beautiful lily fields alive with water birds, raptors, and small mammals.

Day 8 - Excursion to Arangala

After breakfast at the Pidurangala hotel, we will depart to Arangala for a 2-night, 3-day stay at Arangala Forest Lodge, and an eco-friendly upscale hotel situated in the Matale District and facing the breathtaking Knuckles Mountains. You will enjoy a comfortable living experience with luxurious cabanas amidst a nature-loving surrounding.

Day 9 – Excursion to Arangala

After breakfast at the hotel, we will arrange a 4.3 km hike to Arangala Mountain, one of the most breathtaking hiking areas situated at Naula in the middle of the Matale District. Hiking will make you more energetic, help you relax, and give you a peaceful mind as you climb while enjoying the beautiful view of nature. The starting point of the hike is the hotel, and you will get to see a lovely waterfall made by nature during the trekking. 

Day 8 - Excursion to Arangala

After breakfast at the Pidurangala hotel, we will depart to Arangala for a 2-night, 3-day stay at Arangala Forest Lodge, and an eco-friendly upscale hotel situated in the Matale District and facing the breathtaking Knuckles Mountains. You will enjoy a comfortable living experience with luxurious cabanas amidst a nature-loving surrounding.

Day 9 – Excursion to Arangala

Day 10 - Excursion to Kandy

After breakfast at the Arangala Forest Lodge, we will depart to Kandy where we will stay for 2 nights and 3 days at Polwaththa Eco Lodge. It is an ideal place for nature lovers whose expectations of "luxury" lie more outside the room than inside. Polwaththa Eco Lodge is a sustainable retreat located in the heart of Sri Lanka's countryside. It offers unique eco-friendly accommodations and outdoor activities in a serene natural environment. Guests can participate in a range of eco-friendly activities, including hikes, organic farming, and community tourism, promoting responsible travel practices.

Day 11 – Excursion to Tea Factory and Village Walk

After breakfast at the hotel, you will have the opportunity to experience village walk through quaint villages with their Kandyan Forest Gardens, where the villagers go about their daily chores at their own pace. You will be invited to visit their houses and see how they make treacle and jaggery. Our trained guide will give you a "botany lesson" about the various trees you will see along the way. You will observe the villagers bathing, washing their clothes, and drawing sand from the river. A large and deep pool of water upstream is available for competent swimmers. After the village walk, you will visit a tea factory and plantation to learn about the growing and harvesting of tea, and enjoy a good cup of tea. A complimentary 250g of quality black tea and a picnic lunch are included. The return trip will be by tuk-tuk or private jeep.

Day 12 – Departure

After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, we will proceed to Bandaranayke International airport for our departure..
