Day 1 - Arrival 

After arriving at Bandaranaike International Airport and meeting with the guide, you will be transferred to Negombo for a 1-night and 2-day stay at the Jetwing Blue Hotel. Negombo is a peaceful town located on the west coast of Sri Lanka, just 10 km away from the airport. The town gets its name from the Negombo Lagoon and is famous for its white sandy beaches and turquoise-blue waters. As a popular beach resort destination, it offers a perfect spot to relax and enjoy during your stay.

Day 2 - Excursion to Polonnaruwa 

After having breakfast at Jetwing Blue, we will depart for Polonnaruwa where we will stay for 2 nights and 3 days at Deer Park Hotel. Polonnaruwa is one of the richest archaeological sites in Sri Lanka, with a history that dates back over 2500 years and can be found within the cultural triangle. The ancient city of Polonnaruwa is considered one of the best-planned archaeological sites in the country, a testament to the discipline and greatness of the kingdom's first rulers. In recognition of its historical significance, the city has been declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO. The impressive buildings, parks, shrines, and sacred places make Polonnaruwa one of the most beautiful ancient kingdoms. 

Day 3 - Excursion to Minneriya National Park and Archaeological Site in Polonnaruwa 

After having breakfast at the hotel, we will arrange a safari tour of Minneriya National Park, which is known as one of the best places in the country to see wild elephants in large numbers. Dominated by the ancient Minneriya Wewa, the park comprises scrub, forest, and wetlands, and provides shelter for toque macaques, sambar deer, buffalo, and crocodiles. The dry season, from April to October, is considered the best time to visit when over 200 elephants gather to feed and bathe. However, it's also possible to see a large number of elephants here at other times of the year.

In the evening, we will arrange a sightseeing tour of the archaeological sites in Polonnaruwa. 

Day 4 - Excursion to Pidurangala/Sigiriya 

After breakfast at the hotel, we will travel to Sigiriya for a 2-night and 3-day stay at Jungle Hideaway Eco Lodge. Pidurangala, a rising star among Sri Lanka's hiking destinations, offers a fantastic view of the world-famous Sigiriya Rock. Sigiriya is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, known worldwide for its geological and architectural grandeur.

Hiking Pidurangala is a great way to understand the history of the reign of King Kasyapa in the 5th century. The three-hour hike, depending on the hiker’s level of physical fitness, is well worth the effort due to the end result. 

Day 5 - Excursion to Pidurangala/Sigiriya 

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, followed by a bicycle trip to several exceptional archaeological sites, including Kaludiyapokuna, the ruins of an ancient Buddhist vihara buried in the jungle. This trip will take you across highly varied landscapes, starting from the Sigiriya Moat and continuing across villages, farmlands, irrigation canals, forests, and irrigation tanks, as well as lovely forest lakes.

In the evening, you can enjoy a boat ride on the lakes, where you will experience the breathtaking natural beauty of the Sigiriya landscape. This excursion is perfect for birders, wildlife enthusiasts, and nature lovers, as you will have the opportunity to enjoy the tranquil surroundings of giant Kumbuk trees, tropical forests, and beautiful lily fields teeming with water birds, raptors, and small mammals. 

Day 6 - Excursion to Kandy 

After breakfast at the Jungle Hideaway Eco Lodge, we will depart to Kandy where we will stay for 2 nights and 3 days at Polwaththa Eco Lodge. It is an ideal place for nature lovers whose expectations of "luxury" lie more outside the room than inside. Polwaththa Eco Lodge is a sustainable retreat located in the heart of Sri Lanka's countryside. It offers unique eco-friendly accommodations and outdoor activities in a serene natural environment. Guests can participate in a range of eco-friendly activities, including hikes, organic farming, and community tourism, promoting responsible travel practices. 

Day 7 – Excursion to Tea Factory and Village Walk 

After breakfast at the hotel, you will have the opportunity to experience village walk through quaint villages with their Kandyan Forest Gardens, where the villagers go about their daily chores at their own pace. You will be invited to visit their houses and see how they make treacle and jaggery. Our trained guide will give you a "botany lesson" about the various trees you will see along the way. You will observe the villagers bathing, washing their clothes, and drawing sand from the river. A large and deep pool of water upstream is available for competent swimmers. After the village walk, you will visit a tea factory and plantation to learn about the growing and harvesting of tea, and enjoy a good cup of tea. A complimentary 250g of quality black tea and a picnic lunch are included. The return trip will be by tuk-tuk or private jeep.

Day 8 - Excursion to Ella 

After breakfast at the hotel, we will depart to Ella for a 2-night and 3-day stay at Oak Ray Ella Gap Hotel. This picturesque town is situated in the heart of Sri Lanka's tea country, surrounded by verdant hills and valleys. You can take a hike to the top of Ella Rock to experience panoramic views of the scenic landscape, or enjoy a leisurely stroll to the nearby Ravana Falls. Don't forget to indulge in the local cuisine and soak up the peaceful ambiance of this charming hillside town. 

Day 9 - Excursion to Ella 

After breakfast at the hotel, we'll arrange an excursion tour to visit Ravana Waterfall, Ravana Cave, Nine Arch Bridge, and Little Adam’s Peak, followed by a city tour around Ella Town. The Ravana Falls are located in the misty mountains of Ella and the water gushes down a height of 25 meters from an oval concave rock. The Nine Arch Bridge spans 91 meters at a height of 24m and is a picturesque spot located in a dense jungle and agricultural setting. Little Adams Peak rises 1,141 meters above ground level, offering breathtaking views of the beautiful green hills of Ella, and is a relatively easy hike suitable for beginners to take in the natural beauty around them while hiking through local villages, tea plantations, and green fields. 

Day 10 - Excursion to Nuwara Eliya 

After breakfast at the hotel in Ella, we will depart for Nuwara Eliya. En route, we will organize a sightseeing tour to visit Gregory Lake, Victoria Park, and take a tour of Nuwara Eliya City. Once we finish the tour, we will proceed to our accommodation for the night, Oak Ray Summer Hill Breeze Hotel, where we will spend one night and two days enjoying the beauty of the surroundings.

Day 11 – Departure 

After breakfast at the Polwaththa Eco Lodge, we will transfer by private car to the Bandaranaike International Airport, located approximately 3 hours away. Our driver will take us through scenic routes and lush landscapes of Sri Lanka, giving us one last chance to soak in the natural beauty of the country before we depart. The transfer will be comfortable and hassle-free, allowing us to reflect on the wonderful memories we've made during our trip
